Mold Testing
Mold Inspection Sciences of Orange County offers professional mold testing, mold inspection, and mold detection services. We also provide mold remediation support services (scopes of work and post inspection and testing). Our company does not perform mold remediation or abatement or construction. Thus, there are no conflicts of interest for our clients.
Professional Mold Testing Services
Our mold testing services focus on confirming the existence of indoor mold growth, the types of mold, and the concentrations of airborne mold spores (it’s important to know what you are breathing).
Type of laboratory samples that our company recommends to test for mold:
- Ambient air samples (mold spore concentration in the air that you breathe),
- Wall cavity samples (air inside of a wall or ceiling cavity),
- Surface based samples (direct swabs, pieces of bulk material, tape lift)
Professional Mold Detection and Mold Inspection Services
- Complete, step-by-step, inspection of your home, school, business, or rental property specially designed to identify instances and source of water intrusion and to detect mold growth,
- A professional mold inspection report that contains our written findings, color photographs, conclusions, and recommendations.
- We use the best moisture detection instruments, digital hygrometers, and Zefon BioPumps and Zefon Air-O-Cells (for airborne mold spore samples)
- Our inspectors utilize the finest moisture meters, digital hygrometers, and Zefon brand BioPums and Zefon Air-O-Cell (used for all types of air mold testing)
Professional Mold Remediation: Scopes of Work and Post Testing Services
- If the mold investigation and mold testing of the subject property detects a mold concern requiring remediation, we write a “scope of work” that details how the mold should be professionally addressed. This scope of work can be provided to mold remediation companies that specialize in professional mold remediation and abatement services.
- After the mold has been completely and properly removed and all sources of water are resolved, Mold Inspection Sciences will perform a post remediation inspection and testing to verify that:
- All constructed containments are properly built and free of dust and debris,
- All mold growth is cleaned and/or removed,
- All associated building materials are dry,
- All identified sources of water intrusion have been resolved, and
- Air samples (airborne mold spores) and cross contamination samples collected meet industry accepted guidelines for clearance.
